and a lot a bit awesome

Motherhood

...and more

When working on this site, I knew I wanted to include a more personal page. I have been a mom for almost 10 years now, and I like to think I've learned a thing or two worth sharing. Maybe a blog will come one day. Maybe not. In the meantime, here are things I find worth sharing!

Random List of Things I'm Into

Raddish is a cooking club subscription for kids. We love it! The recipes are delicious (for kids and adults). My 9-year old received it as a gift, but all of my kids enjoy making the recipes. Each month you receive 3 recipes, a cooking tool, a patch for an apron, and table talk cards. Even I have learned new cooking skills from it. It is my favorite experience gift to recommend!

YNAB

We started using You Need a Budget (YNAB) as a way to get out of credit card debt. Now, it has become so much more. It helps my husband and I communicate about our finances and prioritize what is important to our family. It allows us to control our money instead of our money controlling us. We are clear on what we are spending on each month and what goals we are saving for.

Here is a list of things I want everyone to know about.

1st Month Free

This is a book worth reading again and again. The 3 questions are - (1) What makes your family unique? (2) What is your family’s top priority – rallying cry – right now? (3) How do you talk about and use the answers to these questions? Using these questions helps your family to stay organized and focused on your values.
